Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Support staff development by delivering educational activities which include but are not limited to EMR and clinical topics during: Onboarding, remediation, mentoring, new training and competency rollout
  • ""
  • Participate in initial and ongoing competency validation, within the MA scope of practice, under the direction of a licensed clinical education team member
  • ""
  • Teaches content as assigned to facilitate Onboarding, staff development and/or safe practice
  • ""
  • Provide educational opportunities that benefit ancillary clerical staff at all stages of their career development
  • ""
  • Incorporate principles of adult learning in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education programs using a variety of strategic tools
  • ""
  • Evaluate learners progress during instruction and adjusts teaching strategies as appropriate to reach learner outcomes
  • ""
  • Conduct needs assessments or data gathering
  • ""
  • Contribute to preparation and maintenance of evidenced based training materials for accuracy and relevance to the target audience
  • ""
  • Assist in developing education to support patient population specific knowledge
  • ""
  • Maintains required educational and/or clinical competencies
  • ""
  • Seek opportunities to develop staff in various roles
  • ""
  • Model and incorporate UHG core values in all aspects of the position

Required Qualifications:

    ""
  • High School diploma
  • ""
  • Graduate of Medical Assistant program, certification
  • ""
  • 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting
  • ""
  • CMA
  • ""
  • Experience using electronic health records
  • ""
  • Experience in teaching and leading in a classroom, and in 1:1 training
  • ""
  • Travel required as needed - once a month locally
  • ""
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe.
