Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager position at St. Anthony Hospital (Level 1 Trauma Center) and Ortho Colorado in Lakewood, CO. St. Anthony Hospital and Ortho Colorado are two of Centura Health systems 17 acute care hospitals. Located near downtown Denver, St. Anthony hospital is a 236-bed acute care and 17-bed in-patient rehabilitation facility and Ortho Colorado is a 47-bed facility, providing a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding metro areas at a state-of-the-art medical campus. Centura Healthcare System is comprised of 17 hospitals, 14 affiliate hospital locations, urgent care centers and emergency rooms, mountain clinics, 100+ physician practices and clinics and Flight for Life Colorado which meets the health and wellness needs of more than a half million people each year. The facilities offer a full range of medical specialties and advanced care with special expertise in neurosciences, Level I trauma, stroke, cardiovascular and cancer care.

The Clinical Nutrition Manager serves in a clinical and operational, leadership role on the Food and Nutrition services team. This high visibility role will interact with our client and represent the department on medical, nursing, and interdisciplinary committees, providing operational oversight at the direction of the Sodexo Area Clinical Nutrition Manager and St. Anthonys Nutrition Services General Manager. Salary range posted for position is $49500-$86700.


We are seeking candidates who will actively engage our customers to strategically take our programs to the next level. The ideal candidate will:


  • Lead the clinical nutrition team of 8 RDs; responsible for scheduling, annual performance reviews, and goal setting
  • Exceed client satisfaction through the application of Sodexo programs
  • Monitor and evaluate nutrition care services; accreditation and regulatory readiness and review; and establishing and maintaining standards of care
  • Strong clinical skills with emphasis in nutrition support preferred; participate in multidisciplinary ICU rounds
  • Work with patients providing nutrition assessments and patient education
  • 60% clinical staffing and 40% managerial responsibilities
  • Prior experience with nutrition care process and electronic medical records charting (Epic) is helpful
  • Lead the comprehensive malnutrition platform for the hospital
  • Coordinate and precept Sodexo dietetic interns
  • Lead and drive Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects.
  • Be a self-directed, innovative, flexible team player with excellent time management skills, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Assist the department in monitoring all patient satisfaction indicators (tray audits & meal rounds)
  • Previous clinical nutrition management experience in an acute care setting with a strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care, preferred.
  • CNSC or other Board Certifications and/or advanced degree preferred, not required, or have interest in obtaining

Position Summary

Functions as the in-unit lead Clinical leader for a medium to large account or multiple accounts under one contract in a system. Manages the daily operations of nutrition services through direct supervision of both non-exempt employees and entry-level exempt professional employees.

Key Duties-Directs daily operations of nutrition programs and ensure customer and client satisfaction levels are met. -May provide direct nutrition care to population served -Establishes and executes operating standards, implements quality improvements, manages the budget and communicates them to other departments. -Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition services.-Promotes nutrition services and stays current with most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice. -Manages employees to ensure they meet goals, cost controls deadlines, and collect outcomes.-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel).-Assists in the development of new business service(s) for the client, regional or national initiatives, projects, and implements the service program(s).



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
