This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am 5:00:pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Manage administrative intake of patient referrals including benefit verification, prior authorization, and communication/collection of patient financial responsibility.
  • ""
  • Work with referral sources including hospitals, doctors offices, and home health agencies to maintain working relationships.
  • ""
  • Process incoming referrals received via email, fax, and electronic referral systems.
  • ""
  • Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents / triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
  • ""
  • Handle resolution / inquiries from customers and / or providers
  • "

Required Qualifications:

    ""
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • ""
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • ""
  • Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
  • ""
  • Microsoft Office proficient - Word, Excel, and Outlook including the ability to open, create, edit, save, and send documents, spreadsheets, and emails, other forms of documents.
  • ""
  • Comfortable working Monday-Friday core business hours with rotational on-call weekends (1-2 times per month) and some weeknight coverage as needed
  • ""
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.
