TheHealth Information Specialist/Clinical Administrator Coordinatorwill be responsible for scrolling, scanning, indexing all documents in the appropriate folder and patient's chart. Answering phones and helping customers. Helping patients fill out their release forms to obtain their medical records. Picking up records from different areas of the clinic.

Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Ensure that paperwork is properly scanned and indexed into the Electronic Medical Record
  • ""
  • Participate in quality assurance audits and other initiatives as directed by management
  • ""
  • Audit medical record charts for approximately 500 clinical forms that get scanned into the Electronic Medical Record
  • ""
  • Respond to patient inquiries related to Release of Information; assist patients with questions about their medical records
  • ""
  • Assist Supervisor with QA charts for subpoenas and affidavits as needed
  • ""
  • Ensure that HIPAA and legal guidelines are followed in all interactions with patients and in handling of the medical record
  • ""
  • Answer phones and fax information

Required Qualifications:

    ""
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • ""
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • ""
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • ""
  • You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role.
  • ""
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.
