This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (8:00am CST - 5:00pm CST). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. This is a telecommute position. Must be able to work CST regardless of location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the intake of members or the admission/discharge information post notification
  • ""
  • Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services
  • ""
  • Manage the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
  • ""
  • Resolve inquiries from members and/or provider
  • ""

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • ""
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems
  • ""
  • 1+ years of experience working in the health care industry
  • ""
  • 1+ years of experience working with medical terminology
  • ""
  • 6+ monthsof experience speaking with clients, customers, etc. on the phone.
  • ""
  • Must be proficient in ICUE (authorization / referral application) must be able to use search function and navigate through application.
  • ""
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook - must have ability to open, create, save, send, and edit Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and Outlook emails.
  • ""
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders
