In a typical branch office, a financial advisor meets with clients and receives branch office support, so they can focus on building deep relationships with clients. Headquarters associates in St. Louis, Tempe and Mississauga provide support and expertise to help U.S. and Canada branch teams deliver an ideal client experience. The Service division directly supports branch teams and clients, addressing all issues and inquiries with accuracy and timeliness to deliver Service Excellence. With a thorough understanding of daily branch operations, your valuable insights will shape how we do business. In this fast-paced, service-oriented environment, youll leverage your critical thinking and effective communication skills to find solutions to inquiries, whether the request comes from a branch associate or client. By continually assessing and aligning our support, youll help us to better serve the needs of branch teams and the people they serve. Deliver exceptional service to clients and branch teams in both the Branch Team Support business area and Tailored Support business area on the Service division.

*This role will require 20-24 hours of work per week *

*Key Responsibilities:*
Service clients needing financial advice in the absence of the financial advisor. Includes review of each order request for accuracy and suitability, discussing the trade with the client, addressing client concerns/providing information about investments, placing client orders, and reinforcing branch/client relationship

Answer incoming calls from Edward Jones branches and provide information/training on Order Service policies/procedures

Work with callers who contact our Client Relations department to assist with providing solutions to their questions. These inquiries could be related to account specific information, but could also cover a variety of other topics.
Education/Certification
* Bachelor's degree is preferred.
* *Series 7 and 66 (or a combination of the 63 and 65) are required at time of application;* combined with in depth product knowledge and an understanding of industry regulations, as well as the ability to discuss financial matters competently and articulately.
* Industry accreditations such as AAMS and CFP are preferred
* Working knowledge of all Jones systems and tools preferred (Joneslink, Financial Foundations, Portfolio, Advisory Solutions, Relationship Manager and 5 Star Relationship).
Years of Relevant Experience
* 3+ years of industry experience with at least 1 year registered experience required.
* Prior experience in a Financial Advisor position is strongly preferred.
Skills/Abilities
* Ability to evaluate compliance and regulatory risk based on client situations
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills required due to the direct contact with Edward Jones' clients. Must be able to understand and communicate rationale for solutions based advice, research opinions, fees, portfolio recommendations, account solutions, estate planning, tax implications, , current/future market conditions, industry trends, and financial topics in the headlines.
* Skilled in conflict resolution as they are the initial contact for complaint situations or when the branch/client relationship is no longer amicable.
* Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality.
