The System Administrator is responsible for the support of all Clinical Information systems across several markets. This person will be responsible for ongoing maintenance, Security patching and all support of all CIS hardware, along with advanced system support and configurations to facilitate optimal application setup and integrations and enhancements. The E H R products utilized are Allscripts Enterprise EHR, ECW, Athena, and EMD along with Allscripts PM, RIS/PACS, as well as other related applications that the clinics and other staff utilize. The Administrator/Team is part of the CIS Team, which work together to provide the best product to the end-users and develop standards and policies to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA rules and regulations. The System Administrator also works closely with the Training Department, Medical Directors, and other IT staff members to provide an efficient product to the users. The System Administrator will report directly to the Clinical Information Systems Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Maintain Security patching on a standard set schedule across markets
  • ""
  • Configuration and testing of CIS hardware
  • ""
  • Provide daily support via tickets and phone calls for all end users regarding E H R, PM, LiveScan, and any other issue that may arise
  • ""
  • Perform audits of the products to establish that end users have the correct and least necessary access needed
  • ""
  • Analyze the back-end setup of the system to ensure that setup meets the needs of the organization
  • ""
  • Assists on hardware and application evaluations, architecture, and maintains relationships with internal customers and external vendors
  • ""
  • Perform routine maintenance on Windows server infrastructure
  • ""
  • Participate in IT build, implementation, upgrades, and training and support activities for full life cycle of system deployment, and for new clinics/providers added to existing practices
  • ""
  • Have working knowledge of SSMT and CMT, understand loading and extracting data
  • ""
  • Perform back-end system tasks in E H R including user setup, note design, dictionary maintenance, task and worklist creation and upkeep, etc.
  • ""
  • Perform back-end system tasks in PM system including creating schedule templates, assigning users correct roles and site designations, and any other necessary build needs
  • ""
  • Maintain Rhapsody interfaces (Working high level interface errors)
  • ""
  • Collaborate with Training and Development to produce and test clinical workflows in the system
  • ""
  • Escalate issues to Allscripts and work with their employees to get a speedy and reasonable solution to problems in the system
  • ""
  • Report daily to Manager/Team Lead to discuss any pressing issues within the applications and to take on any projects at hand
  • ""
  • Organize workload amongst team members to cater to the strengths of the team but also to get done work is an efficient manner as possible
  • ""
  • Train other team members on technicalities in the systems, new workflows, changes made in the system, and other items that can value the team as a whole
  • ""
  • Be able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations
  • ""
  • Maintaining Security patching across all markets on CIS Server infrastructure
  • ""
  • Exhibit expert knowledge of the Allscripts products and tie-in applications such as Rhapsody and SSMT
  • ""
  • Outside-the-box thinker who will not just settle for the delivered product but who will analyze and research areas of the system to better fit for the organization
  • ""
  • Understand the TouchWorks Server architecture and dependencies
  • ""
  • Exhibit solid working foundation with Windows Server Operating systems
  • ""
  • Exhibit solid understanding of VM infrastructure and SAN storage
  • ""
  • Perform other relevant job duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's Degree from 4-year College or University and 5+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
