What You'll Do

We are looking for a passionate, organized professional to join the Cisco Chief Privacy Office as Chief of Staff and Program Manager

This role will be responsible for:

  • CPO program and operations oversight
  • Team/project coordination (within S&TO and with other Cisco BUs)
  • Forecasting and administering the Chief Privacy Offices budget and spending
  • Establishing and reporting its metrics
  • Co-ordinating business reviews
  • Leveraging the Security and Trust Organization's Operating Model to enhance the Chief Privacy Offices scope, authority, and value.

It will support the Chief Privacy Office in managing activities and key stakeholders across a number of leading-edge projects, such as:

  • Consulting with product, service and business data protection teams
  • Conducting privacy assessment
  • Process Collaboration and Improvement
  • Architecture & PET Collaboration opportunities
  • Vendors and technology assessments
  • Internal and external speaking opportunities
  • Privacy Requirements Scoping Workshops
  • Research Projects
  • Shaping international standards
  • Public Policy and government affairs engagement
  • Writing white papers and blogs

Who You'll Work With

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a fun and diverse team of lawyers, engineers and economists with one main goal: making Cisco a global leader in Privacy. We are the Chief Privacy Office, and we are part of the Security & Trust Organization (S&TO). In your role, you will also have the unique opportunity to work on cross functional initiatives where you will collaborate with the broader S&TO as well as with key functions such as IT, Cloud, IOT and Big Data teams, Sales team, Legal and Government Affairs Teams.

Who You Are

  • 5+ Years of relevant work experience in privacy or a data protection/information security domain ideal
  • Privacy Certification or interest in becoming certified as CIPP/E, CIPM, FIP, CIPP/US, CISM, or CISA a plus
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in business operations, program or project management, budget management
  • BS/BA required
  • Deals well with ambiguity and changing contexts
  • Strong operations and process skills required, including project/program management experience and/or related certifications such as PgMP or PMP
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills with the ability to adapt from executive to employee messaging.
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Knowledge of Ciscos portfolio and business a strong plus
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to align thinking and ensure effective decision-making & aligned communication
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently
  • Fun, highly energetic personality; great team player that works well in collaborative situations
