Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager for its operations at Friendship Terrace, an independent living community in Washington, DC. Frienship Terrace is a mission based, non-profit residence operated by Seabury Senior Living Communities that is open to persons of all faiths, backgrounds and incomes. The General Manager will manage the daily operations of the kitchen and dining venues. This is a hands-on position with a strong focus on hospitality as you move from back of the house to front of the house with the addition of administrative and financial duties.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for the creation and development of innovative, inventive and ground-breaking menus;
  • direct and supervise kitchen operations and designated back of house staff;
  • ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved;
  • control and ensure the company's and client's financial targets are achieved;
  • engage with peers, colleagues and patrons in a manner that invites interaction and feedback.

Position Summary

Responsible for the day to day execution of the menus & culinary deliverables.  May be responsible for smaller units within a multi-location.

Key Duties- Executes the culinary function.- Customer & Client satisfaction.- Handles administrative functions. 

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements
