We are looking for Chefs for Healthcare, Higher Education & Business Dining Locations


Reporting to the Food Service Director, the Chef's role is key to ensuring great food and services. You will be responsible for planning and executing the delivery of food services. Your focus will be on quality food production, menu design and food and labour cost management. At the same time building a team that can deliver on service excellence every day.

  • Developing and delivering menus for catering services that meet quality requirements and budget expectations
  • Meeting the highest standards for food safety
  • Ensure execution of the highest quality of food and service
  • Ordering and inventory management through Aramark systems
  • Hands on food preparation and serving when needed
  • Weekly financial reporting
  • Ensure Health & Safety regulations are followed
  • Ensure operations level of profitability and client satisfaction
  • Working with FSD to deliver marketing programs
  • Training and development of employees to meet service and production requirements


  • Five plus years management experience in a fast paced food service operation
  • Red Seal or Chef papers required
  • Background and high level security required
  • Strong communication & supervisory skills
  • Good computer knowledge (MS WORD and Excel)
  • Experience in menu costing, menu planning and food preparation
  • Health & Safety Certification an asset
  • Demonstrates strong financial/analytical abilities
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to improve and streamline food production processes
  • Troubleshoot production issues
  • Actively manage inventory
  • Ordering food and supplies
  • Complete monthly food safety and food management audits
  • Act as instructor for Food safety training of hourly staff, this also applies to yearly refresher training
  • Engage with customers daily to collect feedback on meal service
  • Personally plan, and execute high profile caterings and special events
