Job Description

Primary location is Purchase, NY. However, open to considering candidates in Plano, Chicago, NYC, Green Park, Barcelona and Mexico City.

As part of the Global Data Partnerships Center, your primary focus will be on identifying and securing the data partnerships for the future of category management. It will require an ability to think about the vehicles for data share and the data itself. You will be a valued partner of both the Data + Analytics team as well as the Demand Accelerator team. You must be strategic, collaborative, analytical and have a passion for connecting business to data that drives sales now and in the future.

The Category Management Data Partnerships Futurist will be a key player on the emerging Global Data Partnerships Center. The Data Partnership Center will initiate and develop strategic data partnerships and innovative solutions to drive business value, speed, and business impact.

Moreover, this person will support building capabilities and best practices in data need identification and templates for how to efficiently execute against defined current and expected future needs.

Key Accountabilities

Help support building a Global Data Partnership Center

  • Review of current data assets to understand prioritized data partnerships to identify and initiate
  • Assist with the onboarding of new data partnerships
Support building the Global Data Partnerships Strategy
  • Determine if existing data partnerships meet the needs of the Commercial organization
  • Proactively research and understand the global landscape for Traditional and Non-Traditional Data and identify new data sources and opportunities
  • Define and execute a vision for the needed data of the future of Category Management
Help Implement Strategy & Drive Customer Satisfaction
  • Support the Data & Analytics Product Portfolio by identifying partners that can be used to improve decision making and intelligent action by consumers, the enterprise or other organizations
  • Work closely with global category management leads to understanding current analytic capabilities and prioritized needs, with special regard to opportunities where data connects directly to expanding the PepsiCo categories presence and revenues
  • Support ensuring the Global Data Partnership Center offers a satisfying service to the business in a timely manner and proactively helps our business partners identify the most effective and valuable External Data Products
Optimize Data Partnerships
  • Review for redundancies and partnerships that show long-term viability concerns
  • Proactively seek to make a data partnership universe that can grow with the business and the change in the digital data environment

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years Category Management
  • Minimum 4 years experience managing data partnerships
  • Minimum 4 years experience in CPG goods industry experience, or related analyst focus
  • Bachelors Degree, Masters a plus
Experience:
  • Demonstrated analytics skills and use of multiple software tools
  • Experience in assessment and analysis of data providers
  • Experience with merchandising optimizations, specifically with largest B&M retailers: Walmart, Kroger, 7-Eleven, Dollar General
  • Experience in evaluating the viability/sustainability of a data type
  • Experience in changing status quo at an organization
Skills, Abilities, Knowledge
  • Knowledge of CPG category management
  • Strong knowledge of digital brand commerce
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to take a project from concept through to execution
  • Great management and organizational skills; the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Great communications skills, both verbal and written
  • High level of proficiency in PowerPoint and storytelling
  • Future-oriented with a track record of moving an organization forward
  • Willingness to learn
  • Can operate in a fast-moving, changing environment
  • Utilize strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and balancing multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints and within budget parameters
  • Quickly identify opportunities and follow quickly to organization sell-through
