The Manager of Medicaid Pharmacy networks will have accountability for ensuring the successful implementation and management of pharmacy networks for new and existing UnitedHealthcare Community and State plans. The role will work as part of a cross function team to delivery on our commitments to the states and members we serve.

This position is an integral part of the UnitedHealthcare Pharmacy team, reporting to the Director of Value Based Contracting.

""

We prefer a candidate within a commutable distance of our Minnetonka, MN or Pittsburg, PA offices, but will consider nationwide telecommute.

Primary Responsibilities:

""
    ""
  • Responsible for identifying pharmacy network requirements based on regulatory and contractual mandates for each benefit plan.
  • ""
  • Develop best practices for pharmacy network implementations, including documentation of scalable workflows, audit criteria, desired outcomes and ongoing monitoring criteria.
  • ""
  • Collaborate, cross-functionally and across business segments, to ensure accuracy and completeness of all network implementation processes.
  • ""
  • Participate in all implementation meetings with the ability to define, track and monitor project deliverables to ensure timely completion of all business requirements.
  • ""
  • Maintain implementation documentation and communicate status and findings across business segments
  • ""
  • Track and report implementation progress and results to project stakeholders, implementation managers, business liaisons and health plan leadership.
  • ""
  • Have an in-depth working knowledge of pharmacy networks as it pertains to ITU/IHS and 340B pharmacies, with the ability to propose and execute on process improvement strategies to meet changing business objectives.

  • Work closely with local market pharmacy leads to track ongoing legislative activity to account for new or ongoing deliverables Youll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • ""
  • 3+ years working in health care related field
  • ""
  • Experience in managed care pharmacy or PBM environment
  • ""
  • Experience with pharmacy network contracting
  • ""
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ""
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • 5+ years working in managed care pharmacy or PBM environment

  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization

  • Experience working on managed Medicaid business
