Global Procurement was formed in 2016 and has grown significantly to support direct and indirect purchases across all business functions globally. We are engaging a temporary worker who is an enthusiastic Purchasing Agent or Associate Buyer, depending upon the level of experience, with strong communication and task and time management skills to support the Global Procurement Team. This individual is driven to learn and grow within a Sourcing Category function within Global Procurement. The Buyer will work at our Budapest office.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for handling a high volume of long-tail purchases daily. The temporary worker will process requests daily based upon a First In, First Out priority basis. These requests are for both indirect (i.e. run the business) and direct (i.e. purchases needed for our products) and budgeted under USD$50,000 (or in local-global currency) which needs to be processed accurately and expediently;

  • Represents Global Procurement by building good business relationships with business purchase requestors through understanding their purchase requirements, working with each to ensure accurate and complete data is included in Procurements system (ScoutRFP), and communicating Procurements Policy and Procedures for processing long-tail purchases;

  • Ability and confidence to read, understand, enforce, and uphold company policy and standard operating procedure.

  • Daily and routine maintenance of Procurements system (ScoutRFP) and Contracts Management System data to ensure a high level of accuracy within each project request and ensure all milestones are completed accurately and expediently.

  • Influence Business Requestors to purchase from LogMeIns Preferred Suppliers in lieu of adding a new supplier, in support of LogMeIns strategic goal to consolidate and reduce its supplier base;

  • Adhere to LogMeIns Contract Signature Policy, Purchasing Policy, Supplier Security Risk Policy and Supplier Code of Conduct while working with each purchase request; and

  • Collaborate and build business partnerships with Sourcing Lead, Procurement Operations, Category Management, Legal, Security, Finance and Purchase Requestors

Qualifications

  • Associates or BA/BS degree required;

  • 1-3 years of purchasing experience working on negotiating pricing discounts and negotiating contract terms for multiple categories of spend (i.e. Technology, Marketing, Facilities);

  • Proven ability to accurately work on multiple requests in a fast-paced environment;

  • Strong software abilities and capabilities to quickly learn LogMeIns Procurement system (ScoutRFP)

  • Good organization and problem resolution skills

  • Experience with ERP systems preferred with proven ability to accurately manage data

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Proactive, self-starter with a passion to learn and grow their career within the Sourcing Category within Global Procurement

  • Must speak English fluently
