The individual in this position is responsible for building complete and accurate documentation reflecting department processes through collaboration with subject matter experts.  Documentation required may be in workflow, procedural, policy, or other formats, as appropriate for the process and user needs.  This individual will schedule and facilitate meetings to understand new processes and investigate potential enhancements for existing processes for greater efficiencies.  Processes may relate to day-to-day operations or growth and support any of the operational areas, including, but not limited to, Claims, Customer Service, Utilization Management, and Eligibility.  This individual may need to identify and work with external parties for analysis and ongoing process support.

 

Additional responsibilities for this position may include oversight of initiatives key to new processes or programs to ensure all activities are completed on time and meet objectives.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create, control, and improve business processes
  • Lead process design and project implementation teams in process improvement activities
  • Diagnose process improvement opportunities and develop solutions using principles of process excellence and related tools
  • Coordinate quality reporting, analysis and audits
  • Develop plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement using applicable tools
  • Direct, facilitate, train, evaluate, and oversee quality improvement and innovation projects and teams
 
The individual in this position will be required to:
  • Respond quickly to and effectively manage priorities for project requests, deliverables and deadlines
  • Be flexible and work comfortably in a dynamic setting
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of staff and leadership
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to complete objectives
  • Provide explanation and interpretation within area(s) of expertise
  • Use pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area(s) of expertise
  • Communicate effectively with all level of staff and leadership ensuring messages appropriately tailored to audience whether delivered verbally or in written format
