Team Description:

Strategy, Planning and Operations (SPO) team in Asia Pacific Japan and China (APJC) region focuses on driving topline growth, profitability improvement, and business model transformation in the region. Connecting strategic visions with day-to-day business management, the team works very closely with APJCs Senior Leadership Team in following aspects: 

Driving informed decisions on Ciscos growth strategies for short, mid, and long term
Mobilizing resources through organizational design, resource allocation, targeting/incentives design, and sales enablement
Running business management reviews to solve problems in timely manner
Managing region-wide or worldwide projects with strategic objectives

Roles of Business Analyst:

Proactively provide analytical business intelligence work under a Strategy & Planning Manager who covers APJCs Integrated Software and Service (ISS) sales team, which is a new business unit created recently to accelerate company-wide transformation towards new business model. Analytical work is most intensive in following areas, but not limited to:

Performance management: define most effective KPIs and track them regularly to find out what is working and what is not. It will be the foundation for Senior Leadership to make the right decision on management levers such as targeting and incentive design.
Resource planning: track the current state on resource allocation and continuously highlight the gap from To-Be GTM and Organizational Model, which is required to make the business model transformation successful. 
Running review cadence: communicate effectively to all stakeholders, managing inputs and outputs for the most critical review meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management or a related discipline.
  • 6-8 years relevant experience in operational strategy development and execution, budgeting and planning
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent MS Office Skills
  • Knowledge of sales forecasting process & methodologies
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
