Who are we?

We are the Strategy, Planning and Operations team, reporting into the VP of EMEAR Sales Our mandate is to enable a rapid shift towards a data-driven decision-making culture across the sales organization by delivering digital insights and analytics at scale and embedding them in peoples everyday activities.

To achieve our vision, we are on leveraging internal and external data sources to build a view of the health, strength and gaps in the business, allowing our sales leaders to drive consistent and effective decision making at scale.

We work cross functionally and partner with all teams, including Sales, Strategy & Planning, Customer Experience, Partner organizations or finance partners.

What will you do?

As a part of the EMEAR Data Science team, you will have the opportunity of developing and implementing data science / machine learning use cases from scratch using internal and external data. Your role will require excellent analytical thinking and skills, business case development and data science support for key projects coming from the Sales and Strategy Leadership Team. Also, involves a collaborative aspect of finding data driven solutions and connecting the dots to find ways to to improve, optimize or create a window into what is happening inside the business and where the opportunities are.

Specifically, this will include:

  • Using internal/external data come up with analytics/insights and Machine Learning use cases that can help the business.
  • Develop / Maintain existing machine Learning Model using Python.
  • Collaborate with other teams in order to align with the overall analytical pirates at the company level.
  • Advise guide sales/non-sales users using analytics to create solutions.
  • Develop analytical presentations and communicate it with the relevant stakeholders.

Analytical  working in analytical environment where you will innovate and create new data science driven solutions involving state of the art machine learning and visualization techniques. Out of the box thinking will be an advantage.

Business Requirements  Working with the varying groups within Cisco to curate requirement, organise, prioritise and plan for the implementation within a logical storyboard built out in Cisco to connect all the different points into one story.

Technical  Design and implement data science solutions leveraging using python, SQL and Tableau. Good visualization skills are a bonus. Participate in the design and implementation of advanced/predictive data models to enable faster decision making and execution across the sales organization. Not all of these skills are mandatory, but the desire to learn more technically and have a technical aptitude is key.

Who are you?

You are result oriented with a analytical mind-set, interested in working with a hugely diverse team with a plethora of skill, but have a strong ability to make complex things simple. You have skill from some of the below (not necessarily all), but most importantly you would like to develop in these areas and pick your thread which defines your future career.

  • You have excellent skills in Python and SQL to manipulate data and come up with interesting insights.
  • You are well versed with all machine learning techniques (supervised and unsupervised learning, artificial neural networks) and their implementations
  • You have hands-on experience in the following python modules numpy, pandas, sklearn, scipy, lightgbm, lightfm, matplotlib, seaborn, shap, lime, nltk, multiprocessing, flask.
  • Experience with large data set processing in Google Cloud Platform and SnowFlake. SAP HANA and Tableau.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Visualisation tools (Tableau is a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of Linux scripting.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.)
  • You are an enthusiastic team player with positive can-do attitude who is flexible and can collaborate effectively with different business functions to deliver a solution, working closely with Strategy & Planning, theatre leaders or analytics teams alike.
  • You are proactive and never wait for a challenge, you seek them.
  • You have the ability to work in a high performing, fast paced environment on complex projects with tight deadlines
  • Your verbal and written communication allow you to clearly address both technical and non-technical audiences
  • You are able to Communicate developments and milestones effectively to a large group of stakeholders across the company
  • You could engage and execute across business, analytics and IT to deliver a solution
