What you'll do

The job entails working with various partners across be finance, sales & service finance(SSF) and Corp FP&A, in San Jose and other locations to capture requirements, advise them of interdependencies and impacts, process re-design(as needed), build and testing through reporting and adoption, etc. you should have the ability to connect all the dots, and lead efforts for their track which would often be part of a larger business initiatiEffectivetive partnership with multiple partner groups and senior/executive management is required on a day-to-day basis.

You will:

Provide leadership for financial analytics projects and ensuring strong controls, governance and delivery of reporting and insights.

Ensure strong partner relationships are maintained, developing cadence for communication and interaction.

Articulate and handle the business impacting vs operational requirements and setting prioritizations.

Closely collaborating with the other initiatives / track owners handling interdependencies optimally.

Work with finance it and edw teams to deliver critical reporting capabilities on time.

Maintain and improve performance metrics of your project.

Ensure the initiatives meet the investment requirements and have acceptable quality management systems in place to meet the quality and control requirements.

Maintain reporting cadence for overall track status to senior manager and executive team, peers, and other business partners on a consistent basis.

Promote partnership to drive rigor & delivery of initiatives and transformation of processes to respond to rapid business needs.

The team planning and performance management transformation (ppmt) is a key pillar within the cisco finance organization. The teams vision is to accelerate ciscos transformation by enabling premier business insights and capabilities that influence business decisions and drive profitable growth. We constantly strive to improve and re-engineer, how we report, forecast, plan and tie to business accountability.

Who you are

We are looking for you to work as a business analysis manager within the ppmt team. The ideal person will be hands-on, highly execution-focused, and an ace in financial data analysis and reporting, with experience to back it. to be successful in this role,

You should:

You have an understanding of how ciscos finance organization works

You have the ability to lead partners effectively, strong understanding of our functions.

You'll have the ability to translate business needs to our it partners as delivering capabilities, is key for you in this role.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

10-14+ years of financial reporting / finance operational experience bachelor degree minimum in area of finance, accounting, or general business management. mba finance from a credible institution is a plus.

Solid understanding of gross margin concepts and ability to report and analyze differences in gross margin by sales regions and product hierarchies from one time period to another given variances in contributing factors such as price, volume, mix, etc

Deep understanding of key financial metrics such as bookings, revenue, cogs, gross margin, p&l, opex, deferred revenue, accruals, etc., with understanding of ciscos product as well as services (cx) business and different hierarchical views based on sales as well as product (be) hierarchies.

Experience in analytics and supporting key business decision- making experience / understanding of performance management, statistical analysis and trending a plus

Strong hands-on experience with reporting technologies such as microstrategy, business objects, hyperion essbase, or comparable tools required. ?experience working with multiple data platforms and hierarchy management tools, with very strong enterprise data analysis skills.

Consistent track record of effective partnerships with various cross-functional business teams including it

Have positive relationship management and influencing skills and be able to work collaboratively and seamlessly at all levels.

Demonstrate ability to work in team environment and help resolve issues

Strong written and oral communications skills

Consultative, collaborative nature and client-service oriented

Self-starter and highly execution focused.
