Positions in this function are responsible for any of the following areas: facilities planning and coordination (including building services and building engineering), security, drivers, building operations (electrical, mechanical, alarms and monitors), and warehousing operations.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Receive, sort, and deliver all incoming and outgoing parcels, Receive and assist with unloading shipments from vendors, i.e. office supplies, office equipment, break room supplies, etc.
  • Maintain preventative and/or predictive maintenance programs for significant assets
  • Complete preventative and/or predictive maintenance programs according to manufacturers' standards and internal timelines
  • Perform frequent rounds and/or inspections on facilities, systems, and/or equipment to identify potential defects
  • Complete and/or contact outside vendors to complete requested repairs and/or maintenance
  • Provide input into and/or develop project plans that outline timeline, resources, risks, and action steps for improvement or construction projects
  • Ensure adequate resources and materials are available (e.g. inventory control/stock)
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve operational efficiencies, eliminate waste, or contain costs
  • Record and communicate to management regarding needed supplies and materials
  • Demonstrate knowledge of supplier contracts
  • Keep management informed of potential problems or issues that need to be resolved
  • Collaborate with internal partners to ensure minimal to no disruption to their operations
  • Provide direction, assistance, and guidance to internal groups or external vendors in order to ensure problems and issues are addressed effectively

Required Qualifications:



  • High school education
  • 6+ months of experience with operation of basic warehouse tools--i.e. dollies, pallet jacks, forklift, etc.
  • 3+ months of experience and skill level with inventory management processes and warehouse operations
  • Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time
  • Capable of lifting up to 35lbs frequently (34-66% of the time)
  • Physical ability to bend, reach, twist, package and transport (shift/roll/push/pull) multi-sized packages that range from 10 - 35lbs frequently and 50+lbs occasionally to rarely with assistance.
  • Capable of driving company vehicles to assist with packages and mail deliveries.
  • Valid driver's license
  • You will be asked to" perform this role in an office setting or other company location.
  • If you need to enter" a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms" using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e.," entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth" Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building," employees are required to wear a mask in common areas, In addition," employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience will be considered.
  • Shipping/receiving and/or mail service experience
  • Basic maintenance experience
  • National Career Readiness Certificate
  • Knowledge of shipping/receiving and mail delivery services
  • Mechanical and electrical experience
  • Vendor management experience
  • Flexibility in daily duties, works independently with the ability to prioritize and organize tasks to meet established objectives
  • Must be dependable with the ability to perform responsibilities and solve moderately complex problems with minimal supervision
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office programs and the ability to work independently out of an internal database in assigned work area
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Works a team to solve complex problems
  • Ability to apply problem solving, organizational, time management and team building skills to day to day activities without established procedures
  • Work in a fast pace environment and proactively identifies solutions to non-standard processes to meet tight deadlines
  • Adaptive to changing business requirements and solves moderately complex problems, while maintaining productivity and a positive work environment
  • Supportive of and interest in promoting LHI Culture
