At Pfizer, there are more than 200 statisticians working on all phases of drug development-from discovery, development, and manufacturing to commercialization. Pfizer is recognized as an industry leader in the use of modeling and simulation to drive drug development. Statisticians are members of the "clinical triad," in which each of the statistical, clinical, and clinical pharmacology disciplines bring their respective skills to bear in a collaborative manner to deliver the very best trial designs and analyses.


The internship will consist of up to 480 hours of work at Pfizer Collegeville site in Pennsylvania, commencing as early as April and ending as late as December. The intern's project will be biopharmaceutically oriented, with one-on-one supervision by a senior staff statistician. The work will be a hands-on learning experience focusing on current project needs and will likely involve use of SAS, R, or other statistical software. As part of the internship program, the intern will prepare a written report and brief presentation summarizing the work and forming a permanent record of the intern's efforts.


Are pursuing a master's degree or PhD in statistics, biostatistics, or related field

Experience with software packages, including SAS and R.

Have basic to advanced understanding of applied statistics

Are interested in learning about clinical trials and the analysis and organization of the data

Can commit to 40 hours a week for the summer at Pfizer Collegeville site in PA


Good communication skills.
