Responsible for enrollment processing, membership reconciliations and general clerical tasks for the Membership Operations Department. Significant elements of work involve processing of enrollment information, completion of membership reconciliations, preparation and distribution of enrollment, and accounts receivable reports. Positions may also be responsible for reconciling eligibility discrepancies, analyzing transactional data & submitting retroactive eligibility changes.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 3838 N. Causeway Blvd. Metairie,Louisiana 70002

  • Responsible for monthly invoicing for Peoples Health Network
  • ""
  • Prepares and distributes monthly billing reports and other information generated by the Billing & Reconciliation Department
  • ""
  • Responsible for Membership Reconciliations
  • ""
  • Responsible for Special Status Reconciliations including LEP, LIS and Medicaid
  • ""
  • Responsible for adds, deletes, and changes in status of members as necessary to ensure proper reconciliation
  • ""
  • Answers and screens telephone calls relating to enrollment and billing issues
  • ""
  • Responsible for member correspondence through Macess
  • ""
  • Responsible for Agent and Broker Agent Sales Commissions
  • ""
  • Responsible for Coordination of Benefits
  • ""
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • ""
  • 1+ years experience in enrollment, billing and membership reconciliation in a healthcare/hospital setting.
  • ""
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office applications Excel (create, edit, sort, formulas, pivots tables, etc.), Word (create and edit), and Outlook (calendar management).
  • ""
  • 10% Travel may be required to attend various conferences and seminars
  • ""
  • Ability to work at other times, Normal business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • ""
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • ""
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • ""
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
