At Edward Jones, the Business Intelligence Administrator will be responsible for provisioning users and dashboards on our Tableau and Microsoft Power BI Enterprise Reporting platforms. This role is part of the BI Tools and Reporting Product Team, which is part of the Data and Analytics organization.
The BI Tools and Reporting Product Team partners with Technology and Firm Analytics to meet business needs across the firm, with our "customers" being system users throughout the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain/manage the security aspects of the BI Platforms including user/group provisioning, security role maintenance, and integration with Active Directory
Create repositories, folders, workbooks, projects, data sources, and data connections
Publish workbooks and data sources, and apply appropriate privileges
Provision/de-provision desktop and server software and licenses.
Create and maintain server task schedules
Monitor server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements
Migration of data sources, dashboards to different environments
Document policies and procedures for user administration and licensing
Assist with testing upgrades platforms
Optimize and automate server administration tasks
Create and maintain automated reports to track system health status
Communicate regularly with technical and non-technical team members including partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements
Involved in strategic planning activities and researches emerging technology, programming languages, and tools for use in effective existing or new enterprise application/systems
Lead or assist in the following areas of the BI lifecycle: Dashboard creation, Support/Training for business users, Troubleshoot issues post-rollout
Integrate with other systems/platforms to provide functionality not available in BI platform(s)
Participate and collaborate in a cross-organizational product team where all work is performed using SAFe Agile practices.

Position Qualifications:

BS/BA required with an emphasis in a discipline or technology discipline such as accounting, finance, economics, data science, engineering, analytics, management information systems (or relevant work experience)
2+ years of relevant work experience
Working knowledge of Tableau and/or Power BI system administration. Other Business Intelligence administration experience such as Business Objects, Microstrategy, and Cognos will also be considered.
Basic understanding of SQL with experience in Oracle, Hadoop, and/or Teradata.
Ability to succeed in a highly collaborative environment.
Ability to work productively with cross-functional working groups and across organizational layers.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, ability to influence others and to interact with individuals at all levels.
Strong team player who can adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple responsibilities.
