Primary Responsibilities

""
    ""
  • Use knowledge of the Behavioral Health clinical process to ensure proper usage and documentation of clinical policy guidelines
  • ""
  • Analyze Behavioral Health mandates and regulations for risk
  • ""
  • Design strategies for reviewing Utilization Management, Care Coordination & Advocacy, Assessment & Triage, and other Behavioral Health functions for clinical policy usage/documentation & adherence to mandates & regulations.
  • ""
  • Design strategies for various non-standard requests in the Behavioral Health Clinical process
  • ""
  • Communicate findings to applicable business partners and collaborate for remediation
  • ""
  • Follow-through on remediation to ensure controls are in place to mitigate future risk
  • ""
  • Establish appropriate deliverable timeframes for communication of results, remediation activity, and controls.
  • ""
  • Learn about new clinical strategies, analyze them for risk, and review Behavioral Health functions for adherence
  • "

Required Qualifications

  • Current Behavioral Health License
  • ""
  • Undergraduate degree in Behavioral Health field or equivalent experience
  • ""
  • 2+ years of experience in Optum Behavioral Health clinical process
  • ""
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener.   • 2+ years of experience in Optum Behavioral Health Utilization Management, Care Coordination Advocacy, EAP, ABA/IOP, or Assessment & Triage

  • Experience with coaching and/or quality review

  • Ability to design and create strategies to accomplish goals without specific direction
  • ""
  • Ability to manage time and deadlines independently
