The B2B Marketing Manager will play a key role within the sales organization representing the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which provides local advertising solutions and its digital agency, CoxNext which is focused on digital marketing and attribution solutions.


The primary objective of this position is creating and executing marketing strategies/plans for our existing events, business channels, partnerships, etc. that directly or indirectly drive qualified leads and create meaningful revenue generating opportunities for the Sales organization. The role will also research and recommend strategic opportunities for new sales department events and partnerships.


This position will be responsible for implementing specific programs and initiatives which support key sales and market development strategies and initiatives to position AJC and CoxNext as the preferred provider of media solutions to the business community.


Working closely with the stakeholders such as Sales, Content Team and Sales Operations, this person will work collaboratively to ensure the AJC and CoxNexts product and service solution portfolio - including events, print, digital, creative, content and consulting services - is properly positioned and applied to address client advertising challenges, and to deliver revenue growth for AJC and CoxNexts brands.


This position reports to the Director of Sales


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:




* Work collaboratively with key stakeholders within the Sales, Operations, to identify, plan, and execute marketing needs (collateral, media and content calendar, recap materials, client tool kits, press plan, etc. for the purpose of lead generation and revenue generating opportunities.

* Work with Creative on development of necessary collateral for lead generation programs, events and marketing/sales needs.

* Diligently and thoughtfully manage budget to position AJC business segments, CoxNext, and in appropriate manner and to achieve business objectives.

* Work with Sales resources to track and report results from events, lead generation programs, sponsorship activities, and partnership programs.

* Create and diligently manage project work plans / timelines to ensure flawless on-time execution.

* Continually recommend improvements in approach to events, marketing programs and partner programs that reduce cost, improve results, etc.

* Additional responsibilities that may arise as the position progresses, and at the discretion of the supervisor.



Expected Results:




* Recognized effectiveness of B2B initiatives to strategically, position the brand and our capabilities as the preferred provider of advertising solutions, and tactically, in the direct and/or indirect generation of leads and revenue growth, and customer retention.

* Strong acceptance of B2B initiatives by our Sales teams

* All activities are developed, managed, and executed in an exceptional manner


Qualifications: EDUCATION:




* Bachelors degree in marketing, communications or related field, or bachelors degree with relevant work experience in these areas preferred.



YEARS & TYPE of EXPERIENCE:




* 3+ years experience in the utilization of media solutions such as content/blog creation, email marketing SEO, SEM, Social, and Programmatic to generate inbound/outbound leads.

* Experience in using Salesforce, Hubspot, Pardot or a similar email tool to for lead generation

* 3+ years experience with lead generation efforts and funnel management

* Media planning experience

* Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively utilize internal and external resources to meet project deadlines and objectives

* Experience in the development and marketing of business-to-business events and partnerships - with examples of successful program development and tactical execution.

* Excellent written (including copywriting) and verbal, presentation and listening skills

* Strong track record of results partnering with a B2B sales organization

* Comfortable and confident engaging with co-workers, customers, and community organization leaders across all organizational levels; exceptional partner and relationship building / nurturing skills

* Creative thinker and problem solver



ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:




* Experience establishing and managing third party partnership and vendor relationships

* Ability to work well with various levels of organizational leadership

* Willingness to seek input from key stakeholders and utilize in development of deliverables

* Sound judgment, problem solving, financial, project and analytical skills, combined with distinctive attention to detail

* Exceptional diligence managing company resources
