The Associate Vice President of Quality is responsible for coordinating and implementing quality initiatives designed by enterprise/OHCC to continuously improve all aspects of health care delivery. This includes communication and monitoring of initiatives as well as promoting culture changes that support an environment of quality. This position is also responsible for coordinating and implementing HEDIS, CAHPS and HOS projects and assisting with data analysis and report preparation for Regional Success Collaborative as well as OHCC. The AVP works closely and collaboratively with various functional areas of the delivery system and OHCC to achieve the goals and objectives of the QI/HEDIS program.

Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Provides strategic direction, leadership, and oversight for Quality performance and plans, organizes, and directs the administration of all Quality Programs
  • ""
  • Provides leadership to, and is accountable for, the performance and direction through multiple layers of management and senior level professional staff
  • ""
  • Provides leadership and support in establishing and directing the Quality Program consistent with the delivery system/OHCC directives
  • ""
  • Develops and/or maintains policies and procedures that support the corporate initiatives that meet State, Federal legal requirements, and standards
  • ""
  • Collaborates with physicians to execute the implementation of the clinical quality data initiatives as defined by enterprise and/or OHCC
  • ""
  • Coordinates with appropriate personnel to meet operational program needs and ensures compliance with state / federal health plan requirements, Medicare guidelines, HEDIS / STARS, CMS, and health plan requirements
  • ""
  • Participates in requested evaluations and audits
  • ""
  • Develops operating budget as necessary

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

""
    ""
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Healthcare or Business Administration or related field
  • ""
  • 10+ years of experience in quality improvement in managed care environment and/or large physician practice setting
  • ""
  • 6 years of management-level experience
  • ""
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the business environment and business requirements (e.g., strategy changes, emerging business needs)
  • ""
  • Basic understanding of quality improvement standards such as NCQA, HEDIS, CAHPS, HOS and CMS
  • ""
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required, including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • ""
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, healthcare professionals, physicians and other members of senior administration, and the public
  • ""
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • ""
  • Knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management techniques
  • ""
