Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Greet patients and check in and out. Ensure demographic information including insurance information is correct in IDX and update as necessary
  • ""
  • Manage patients expectations about the visit
  • ""
  • Schedule appointments as necessary; work with back office to get patients seen who walk in or call for appointment
  • ""
  • Enter charges correctly and collect appropriate payments
  • ""
  • Answer telephones and take messages or route incoming calls as per SMA policy
  • ""
  • Responsible for waiting room management and implementation of efficient customer friendly processes
  • ""
  • Work with back office staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • ""
  • Communicate with clinical personnel about service issues and complaints
  • ""
  • Assist co - workers and team members with duties when requested, to include but not limited to, floating to other areas
  • ""
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

    ""
  • 1+ years experience in a medical office, clinic or hospital
  • ""
  • High school diploma or GED
  • ""
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • ""
  • You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role.
  • ""
  • Employees are requiredto screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.
