Prudential Financial, Inc. is seeking an Analyst for the Stable Value Service team supporting the Retirement business. Stable Value creates and manages a suite of guaranteed products using proprietary and non-proprietary managers for distribution in the plan-based Retirement space through the Prudential full service recordkeeping business as well as third party channels and markets.

 

The successful candidate will join the Prudential Stable Value organization as a member of the Contract Financial Services Team. This position will report directly to the Manager, SV Strategic Service supporting Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution products by ensuring accurate experience rating of contracts as well as determining amounts available at discontinuance, monitoring minimum funding requirements, detailed cashflow, expense, and benefit payment analysis. This role will act as an SME to internal teams and support complex issue resolution for external clients.

Supports resolution of service inquiries and issues


Development and documentation of operational procedures


May act as SME and participate in projects related to Service activities


Makes recommendations and implements solutions to increase productivity and efficiency


Ad hoc requests or project work as required

Qualifications
@!*!Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

 

Minimum of 5 years experience in financial services

 
Strong technical skills in MS Excel including advanced functions, macros and model development; Proficiency in MS Access a plus


Strong written and verbal communication skills


Strong analytical and problem solving skills


Solid conceptual thinking skills


Knowledge of Defined Benefit plans and ability to support interest apportionment, application of market value factors and mortality pooling concepts is a plus.


Experience with benefit payments from Defined Benefit Plans including Present Value calculations is a plus.


Experience with mainframe system enhancements, in particular specifications and user testing
