Prudential Financial is a life insurance & asset management industry leader that provides innovative solutions to a variety of markets. This positions primary focus is Economic Assumption & Methodology development, refinement, and process improvement as part of the Frameworks team in the Projections Centers of Excellence (COE). In this role, the associate will drive projects that have a significant impact across Actuarial while interacting with a variety of Financial Management partners.

Job Responsibilities:


Gather & analyze data from both internal & external expertise and assist in the development of proposals for economic assumptions & methodologies across all domestic & international business units for a variety of end usages (GAAP, STAT, Pricing, etc.). Requires close collaboration within Actuarial and with other key Financial Management groups (Risk, Finance/Treasurers, Investments).
Perform the quarterly & annual production processes for GAAP & STAT valuation purposes related to economic scenario development, simplified investment modeling, and economic assumption maintenance.
Actively engage in process improvement initiatives related to economic assumptions & methodologies by employing a variety of technological and project management approaches.
Update and maintain databases that contain economic assumptions and scenarios supporting multiple end usages across domestic & international business units.
Support ad-hoc scenario requests, internal audit reviews, etc.



Qualifications

Requirements:
Actuarial and/or investment experience preferably in an insurance company context. Exposure to variable annuities business lines, economic scenarios development, and familiarity with GAAP & STAT reporting would be a plus.
Strong technical skills with programming experience in SQL, VBA, C , Python, etc.
Proficient data management & illustration abilities
Solid foundational verbal & written communication skills
Developing knowledge of ALM concepts
Actuarial exams or CFA a plus but not required
Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, or a related field is required
Eagerness to learn
