Position Summary

""

The Associate Director of Operations - Specialties, OB, and PEDS is accountable for multi-site clinical operations for a multi-million-dollar physician practice. Receives direction operationally from Vice President of Operations. Position is accountable for collaborating with Specialty physician leadership to improve quality, cost and patient service and the financial and operational performance of organization. Ensures a positive and productive relationship with internal and external business partners as well as patients and providers. Develops strategies to implement organizational mission, vision and values that optimize patient outcomes and financial performance. Facilitates excellent customer service and satisfaction while achieving organization-specific financial goals. Develops and participates in company wide policy and procedures to monitor and ensure company and regulatory compliance and consistency. Recruits, retains and promotes outstanding staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Develop and implement the strategic plan for Specialty and Maternal Child departments aimed at supporting financial, clinical, cultural, and customer service goals in conjunction with physician leadership
  • ""
  • Works with management teams and physician leaders to develop and manage operational budgets
  • ""
  • Develops and monitors key indicators for all aspects of clinic operations
  • ""
  • Develops and monitors annual capital budget and the capital asset request process
  • ""
  • Evaluates proformas and analysis for new business opportunities including the addition of new service lines
  • ""
  • Develops plans for employee engagement including provider recruitment/retention, staff development, training, mentoring, and performance management
  • ""
  • Organizes and conducts Lean VSMs, Kaizans, and RPIWs in all departments, oversees development and auditing of standard work
  • ""
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations as well as company policies, processes, and procedures
  • ""
  • Accountable for appropriate achievement of the interviewing, selection, orientation, development, evaluation, discipline, and competency of Division staf
  • ""
  • Actively participates as the organization's representative on boards, community and health-related agencies

Required Qualifications:

    ""
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, public health, or related field
  • ""
  • 5+ years of experience in medical practice management of financial analysis
  • ""
  • Knowledge of capitation, physician recruitment, contracting, managed healthcare systems
  • ""
  • Well-developed knowledge of managed care principles and customer service best practices
  • ""
  • Sound knowledge of financial and accounting concepts
  • ""
  • Knowledge of Lean, medical terminology, and ICD-10 and CPT coding
  • ""
  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location
  • ""
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe.
