The Associate Creative Lead is a newly created role to lead a team of seasoned content specialists on the Provider Marketing and Communications team within UnitedHealthcare. This position will be responsible for leading the team in the cohesive and consistent messaging and branding across the multiple lines of business which will result in a stronger presence in the marketplace.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads and mentors and a team of content specialists
  • ""
  • Works independently on the development of multiple projects and ensure compliance to all project deadlines and detailed accuracy
  • ""
  • Develop and mentor the writers to be strong, concise digital writers with a consistent voice and tone across the group of writers
  • ""
  • Editorial brand ambassador and trainer
  • ""
  • Proactively escalates problems with solutions
  • ""
  • Create learnings sessions, assessments, and develop resources that ensure individual performance growth and business goals are met
  • ""
  • Collaborate with peers as well as business partners to determine necessary project scope and delivery expectations
  • ""
  • Adapt writing style / tone to meet the needs of the specific internal or external message / audience / channel (e.g., translating complex concepts into simple language, ensuring cultural relevance and sensitivity)

  • Demonstrate understanding of our business (e.g., UnitedHealthcare organization and its structure, business strategies, current initiatives, goals and objectives, segments, applicable product/service offerings, brand identity)

Develop and Maintain Communications Content:

  • Develop communications content, tailored to the specific medium and audience requirements (e.g., FAQs, emails, scripts, talking points, web sites, preparation materials, training decks)
  • ""
  • Publish/distribute communications content as needed and ensure proper implementation (e.g., email, video, web sites, podcasts, media placement, search engine optimization)
  • ""
  • Adhere to applicable internal and external communications standards established for the business (e.g., internal style guides, AP style guides, communications industry standards)
  • ""
  • Adapt writing style / tone to meet the needs of the specific message / audience / channel (e.g., nuance, complexity)
  • ""
  • Strong attention to detail
  • ""
  • Collaborate with applicable internal and external partners to design / implement communications format and content (e.g., vendors, internal stakeholders)
  • ""
  • Obtain review of communications content by internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable requirements (e.g., Legal, Clinical, Compliance) if appropriate

  • Revise / update communications content / approach as needed, based on established metrics and feedback processes

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of content development experience
  • ""
  • Strong experience in people management
  • ""
  • Experience and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints while upholding working relationships with SMEs, stakeholders and other project team members
  • ""
  • Strong digital writing background
  • ""
  • Ability to define the needs of audience(s) to be addressed in the communication process to optimize the member / user experience (e.g., who they are, where they are, how they prefer to get information, preferred channels / timing / frequency, reading level, health literacy requirements, calls to action)
  • ""

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
