The Client Strategies Group (CSG) at Edward Jones is focused on developing a profound understanding of prospective and current clients needs, in order to create an unparalleled experience. Within CSG, the Advice and Guidance department helps people achieve their serious,
long-term financial goals by understanding their needs and implementing tailored solutions.
The mission of our department is to be the thought engine providing complete wealth
management advice and guidance that drives our clients success in achieving their goals.
Within Advice and Guidance, the Securities Research Team is responsible for making recommendations on individual stocks and bonds.

*Responsibility Summary: *
Support the Securities Research Team by gathering data, conducting due diligence and helping to prepare investment recommendations.

Develop knowledge and analytical skills for investment decision-making by assisting in financial and valuation model building, the due diligence process, stock and bond rating selection process.

Deliver effective written and verbal communication to financial advisors and clients.

Enroll in and work towards completion of the CFA designation.
*Qualifications Required in the Job*
Finance or Accounting Bachelor's degree and/or MBA preferred
*Qualifications Required in the Job*
Successful progress towards completion of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
Series 7/66 required or attainable within six months of hire.
Series 86/87 required or attainable within one year of hire.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, FactSet, Bloomberg, etc.)

*Minimum Years of Experience Required*
2+ years of working experience.
0-2 years experience in related field.
2-4 years of experience in related field is preferred.

*Depth of knowledge of principles and practices of a specific field of specialization such as
finance, human resources, IS, marketing, etc.*
Solid knowledge of economic, statistical and investment concepts.
Ability to utilize various information sources including software tools and Excel to identify
relevant information needed to make an investment decision.
Ability to prepare reports and statistical data for use in the formulation of investment
Understanding of Edward Jones investment philosophy and firm business model.
Proven written and verbal communication skills for preparing and presenting preliminary
research to Research Review Committee and for communicating to FAs and clients.
Proven interpersonal skills are necessary to express ideas and research.

*Problem Solving*
Proven critical thinking skills necessary. Ability to assist in the solving of complex, non-routine
problems. Requires extensive fact-finding. Associate Analysts will gather, assemble, analyze, and communicate investment data to help support the investment decision-making process.
