About You

To be a successful Channel Sales Engineer at AppDynamics, you need to have experience in a sales engineer or partner/customer-facing role, and be passionate about technical sales and working with customers and partners. Ideally, you are ambitious, self-motivated, and have experience with application performance management technologies and techniques.

Other qualifications we are looking for include:

  • A knack for tech. You actually want to learn about things like containers, and call-stacks, and multi-cloud architectures
  • You possess excellent communication and presentation skills
  • This is a sales role - you are passionate about technical sales via partners
  • You can work on multiple opportunities & POCs concurrently
  • You are highly coachable, with a strong desire to improve and grow as a professional and as part of a team

Technical Skills

  • 3-5 years experience working with at least one of the following languages: Java, .NET, PHP, or JavaScript
  • Experience and competence working at OS command lines including Unix, Linux and Window command prompts.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows shell scripting
  • Knowledge of basic infrastructure and networking components and concepts.
  • Experience with web servers and common relational databases used in todays application architectures. Ability to understand SQL.
  • Travel up to 50%

About the Role

As a Channel Sales Engineer at AppDynamics, you will be responsible for providing outstanding pre-sales technical support to the sales team that supports our APAC Partners. Working directly with partners and customers you will be the subject matter authority on Application Performance Management and AppDynamics.

This role will initially focus on the enablement and onboarding of our strategic partners in the region. If you are interested in a career in sales engineering, derive success from seeing people grow in their technical and functional capability, and have an eye for detail - this job is for you!

  • You will deliver enablement sessions to educate our partners on APM and AppDynamics as they mature their knowledge of the solution
  • You will present and demonstrate AppDynamics solutions to new partners, and then guide them on their technical journey
  • You will provide technical and sales help by shadowing and mentoring partners during their AppDynamics sales cycle
  • You will become their AppDynamics trusted advisor and build a long term relationship with our partners
  • Finally, you will have the opportunity to work directly with our Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to share your knowledge and experiences to ultimately improve our business and our customers success.
