About the Role

We are seeking a Commercial Sector Leader for our Enterprise Programs. This role will drive rapid acceleration of our integration with Ciscos software seller community and Enterprise Agreement revenue growth for AppDynamics across the Americas. The role will report to the Director, Worldwide Enterprise Programs of AppDynamics and work closely with our offer development team as well as counterparts at Cisco and partners to ensure a seamless experience for the key stakeholders; AppDynamics, Cisco and our collective customers.

This sales acceleration role for AppD Enterprise Agreements will drive growth through building powerful inside and outside partnerships within the Ciscos Commercial Sector by qualifying and accelerating sales opportunities with AppD Sales, Cisco Sales and Partners. You'll build on your relationships across Cisco to accelerate this success, and in the process, youll enable scalable new sales opportunities for Cisco.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Cisco, AppDynamics peers, partners and customers to build lasting partnerships and GTM routes.
  • Drive business growth in collaboration with a cross-functional team consisting of product managers, product marketers, partner marketers, sales enablement, sales engineering, sales, alliances, and engineering.
  • Work as a global team to support New and Renewal sales efforts primarily in the Americas, and support EMEA and APAC/ANZ on an as needed basis.
  • Engage directly with customers to ensure program design aligns with customer successfully executing AppDynamics.
  • Meet customers and partners to evangelize AppDynamics' Enterprise Programs.
  • Track sales pipeline and provide deal support for all strategic deals.
  • Build trust and positive relationships with field leadership to earning a 'seat at the table'
  • Lead the business including forecasting, quarterly business reviews, etc. to achieve month, quarter, and annual targets
  • Accelerate growth of software and service annuities and subscriptions
  • Drive the conversation with sales and customer success teams and align sales team to drive adoption

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Software, subscription, annuities, XaaS, and Services selling experience is required
  • Mature sales leader with a consistent record of individual success, leading field and/or virtual sales organizations with both individual and team attainment
  • 5+ years of related experience; areas of relevancy include Software and Services Sales, Sales leadership, Partner Sales, advanced technology sales
  • Cisco relationships and network, primarily in Sales and/or the BUs
  • Experience in implementing effective sales coverage models in accordance to market needs
  • Deep understanding of Cisco's portfolio, customers, and industry landscape and partner landscape
  • Embrace new digital sales and marketing tools to increase seller effectiveness and productivity
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal) and the ability/affinity for presenting with customers/partners at all levels of an organization
  • Analytical and business skills to evaluate key deal and team metrics and performance, ability to break down complex problems to resolution
  • Continuous learning and improvement mindset
  • Broad knowledge and best practice insights of sales processes, organizational structures, management practices and talent development
  • Travel will be approximately 30%.

  • You work well in teams, understand Cisco's Enterprise engagement model and you are able to create an outcome where it is an everybody wins environment with key Ecosystem and Partners
  • You will have passion for driving strategies; a strong personality with validated leadership skills working in a complex matrix organization; a strong presence and credibility established with the client base and internally
  • You have a proven record in managing and winning major opportunities, with the ability to work unsupervised; ability to interact as a valuable team member
  • You have the ability to handle a long and complex sales cycle that include both product and services
  • You are experienced in multi-level selling, comfortable influencing CxO, IT Managers, Purchasing, etc.
  • You have a strong background in technical architectures, sales strategy, negotiation and a partner motion
  • You are knowledgeable on routes-to-market and use cases that drive customer value and successful outcomes
  • You are focused on outcomes with an ability to build and execute strategic sales plans in conjunction with a sales leadership team
