About You

You are assertive, have strong leadership, relationship, and interpersonal skills. You are admired for your strong, dynamic presentation skills. You also have:

   Extensive experience and a proven, demonstrable, track record in driving incremental growth partner relationships

   Ability to understand partner business priorities, identifying opportunities for the creation of value for Partners, Customers and AppDynamics

   Successful enterprise software and consultative selling capabilities at C-level in both Partner and Customer environments

   Good organizational skills, capable of handling tactical items while never losing sight of long-term strategic goals

   Proven track-record of doing business with major Systems Integrators/Service Providers experience with APM tools is desirable but not required

   Background in the System Integration and performance tuning is highly desirable

   Educated to Degree level, or equivalent, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science, ideally with additional qualification in Project Management

 

About the Role

The Sales Director, MSP/SI will be responsible for maximizing the growth and expansion of AppDynamics and our products by developing broad and deep alliances with key System Integrators, Service Providers and Specialized Partners. The Alliance Manager will be responsible for directly targeting new and existing partners, building a shared vision and partner plan, and driving standards adoption leading to joint engagement in the field.

As one of the fasted growing enterprise start-ups in the world, it is essential that each team member in our organization can pivot, be dynamic, and wear multiple hats if needed. A successful Alliance Manager at AppDynamics will be extremely sales oriented, with a broad understanding of the partner community and able to influence at all levels.

This is an opportunity to join a small rapidly expanding Alliance team and have a significant impact on the overall business of AppDynamics. You will:

   Uncover, identify and qualify business opportunities

   Build a pipeline of potential business and accurately forecast on a weekly basis

   Develop Strategic Account Plans with detailed GTM strategy leveraging AppDynamics via Ciscos dominance in the SP Market

   Prepare formal proposals and assist in the creation of Statements of Work (SOW)

   Present to executive levels of organizations

   Sales process and tools

   Educate Senior Executive team on market demands and competitive analysis

   Coordinate complex decision-making process

   Overcome objections to closure

   Maintain strong knowledge of AppD & Cisco strategy and technology initiatives

   Help accelerate multiple routes to market through your SP Accounts by maintaining relationships with AppD, Cisco and you SP Partners Direct Sellers

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

   Five years of experience selling Enterprise level Services and Solutions.

   Strong knowledge and experience dealing with C levels within Service Provider Vertical

   Consistently demonstrated meeting and exceeding quotas

   Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

   Experience in developing embedded managed services which greatly increase value of SPs existing solutions

   Able to lead complex sales process, value creation and contract negotiations

   Working knowledge of Sales tools, strategy, qualification and execution
