About You

You are an experienced product marketer who knows how to support and accelerate the enterprise sales cycle with inspiring messaging and positioning. You are proficient in translating technical features into clear and concise benefits and are familiar with IT personas and industry trends. You are an excellent writer, spokesperson and presenter, with the marketing acumen to translate your expertise into compelling content across all channels. You have experience elevating products to new categories.


  • 6+ years of product marketing experience in meaningful enterprise IT software
  • BA/BS (engineering or related technical field); MBA preferred
  • Proven ability to execute cross-functionally with sales, marketing and product organizations
  • Experience driving a product launch end-to-end
  • Consistent record in developing highly effective presentations and collateral
  • Experience with public speaking and presenting

About the Role

We have a big opportunity ahead of us, and were looking for a Director/Sr Director of Product Marketing to lead messaging and positioning for our evolution from Application Performance Monitoring to AIOps. Youll also directly coordinated GTM planning and execute cross-functionally with product and sales teams.

You will be the market and product evangelist both internally and externally. Your job is to ensure that our content, messaging, and communications are outstanding. You are passionate about building customer champions and showcasing customer success.


  • Develop compelling positioning and messaging for AppDynamics targeting key personas and industries
  • Translate value propositions into impactful sales enablement, including pitch decks, case studies, sales sheets, videos, collateral, whitepapers and more
  • Monitor industry trends and keep a close eye on competitors
  • Partner with demand generation teams on development of campaigns and content
  • Be a customer advocate; make sure customer content is included in anything and everything we do in marketing
  • Deliver demos, technical content, and thought leadership presentations
  • Build and maintain content on our website
  • Spearhead content and programs that champion AppDynamics thought leadership in the industry, resulting in higher brand awareness
  • Represent the company at hosted client events, partner meetings and industry conferences
  • Work closely with regional PR agencies as an industry leader with vision and AppDynamics spokesperson
  • Partner with sales enablement and sales operations to unlock new channels of growth
