About The Role

As a Marketing Manager for CX organization, you will be responsible for the design and go-to-market launch of the AppDynamics Customer Experience (CX) offerings portfolio. You will lead new ways of thinking about the CX services and offerings, will evolve the value proposition, and will create a compelling story for internal and external audiences. You will develop strategic and tactical marketing plans and messaging for CX offerings spanning support, professional services, education, and customer success in support of our multi-product solution.

You will have a passion for great post-sales product experiences that meet the needs of large enterprises.

This position reports to the VP, Global Customer Experience Operations.

Key responsibilities (What Do You Do?)

  1. Define the value proposition and messaging for the portfolio and the individual offerings.
  2. Define and own the Go To Market strategy for the individual offerings as well as for the overall portfolio, including branding elements and offering naming.
  3. Communicate the value proposition, value positioning, and messaging of the CX offerings
  4. Develop and deliver the sales tools that support the selling process of those offerings, including developing material for launches, customer presentations, customer stories, videos, and sales training materials.
  5. Develop strategic and tactical marketing plans for CX offerings associated with a product or product line, as well as for offerings that are not attached to products.
  6. Develop a tone of voice for CX and evangelize it across the entire organization, including reviewing presentations, collateral, email, and other written communication to ensure adherence
  7. Collaborate with a broad set of stakeholders and cross-functional teams to develop go-to-market plans, along with joint strategy and messaging, including product marketing, CX and sales

Critical Experiences (What experiences do you Need?)

  • Bachelors degree, with a preference for marketing or strategic management/planning fields
  • Deep experience in at least one practice area: experience design, design research, design thinking, service design, services product marketing
  • Ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into customer benefits and tell a concise, compelling story.
  • Excellent skills and talent for communications in all forms, including verbal, written, visual, presentations, websites.
  • Self-sufficient in preparing content, collateral, and presentations. Must have the ability to craft a compelling story and build presentations to deliver the message.
  • Excellent management, relationship-building, and general people skills to interact with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing and collaborating with multiple stakeholders within Product Management, Support, Engineering, etc
  • Attention to detail and an eye for quality
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
