Today, software solutions represent $10B+ for Cisco. Cisco is transforming the way customers consume and derive value from our solutions. Thus, making it easier to buy and sell Cisco solutions is essential to the growth of our company.

We are an agile start-up sales team within Cisco, has been established to drive our go to market sales efforts for software solutions across the Cisco portfolio This GTM has traditionally been oriented around individual architectures (Data Center, Security, Collaboration, and Enterprise Networking), but is evolving increasingly towards a cross-architecture motion.


What Youll Do

This team will continue to be responsible for the overall EA sales performance globally and will drive the evolution of the EA sales motion to multi-architecture in coordination with the broader cross-architecture play strategy recently announced by sales leadership. The sales director role will play a leadership role in both execution and evolution of APJC EA sales and driving our broader specialist GTM around the overall cross-architecture plays.

We are an ambitious sales team focused on software sales through Ciscos expanding portfolio of buying programs (Enterprise Agreements). Our mission is to transform the way customers consume and derive value from our solutions. Through direct and influence selling motions, you will drive software revenue growth. Individuals on the team will craft the future selling strategies for Cisco, as Cisco shapes the future of technology offers and business solutions.

You will be the Asia Pacific go-to sales leader driving the facilitation of Ciscos transition to Software and Recurring revenues, engaging internal resources and stakeholders including Marketing, CA, Partners and Cisco business units. You are responsible for and measured against the revenue generated in addition to motivating and inspiring a cross-functional team of employees to achieve a defined set of short and long term objectives.

Who You Are

You are recognized as an inspiring leader who is able to manage team members with multiple levels of seniority management, build and lead teams that are diverse and geographically distributed as well as grow and transition team members.

You have a successful track record of building long term, trusting relationships with peers, executive leaders and customers allowing you to effectively influence with your good communication skills; written, verbal and interpersonal which gives you an edge to create an impact. All of this combined with your innate ability to balance desired capabilities end-state within program/environment constraints and with a pragmatic lens makes you an excellent fit for this role.


Our minimum requirements for the role:

  • You have 10+ years of regional sales management experience building and managing in diverse team environments
  • At least 10-15 years sales experience ideally with strong background in selling software, managed services or large complex technology solutions with reoccurring revenue streams
  • You have a solid understanding of Ciscos individual architecture portfolio plays across Data Center, Security, Collaboration, and Enterprise Networking.
  • You are able to build strong internal and customer focused relationships
  • You are a strong leader with vision and strategy development experience with demonstrated success in leading significant end to end and companywide transitions.
  • You have strong presentation, communication and influence skills.
  • You hold a BA/BS degree, MBA or graduate degree preferred
  • You have demonstrated success in an influence selling environment
  • Customer-first mindset and a strong proven ability to bring people together from across the company to navigate a wide range of strategic priorities and operational programs
  • You have a balance critical thinking, detailed planning, and the execution of multiple programs at the same time
  • You are comfortable engaging with Senior Executives, boards, and vast stakeholders. Strong executive presence, interpersonal skills, and ability to influence across disciplines
