The Global Real World Data Strategy, Analytics and Insights (GRWD-SAI) group, sits within Pfizer Digital, and is focused on accelerating adoption, maximizing investment, and advancing application of commercial and real-world data (RWD) across all therapeutic areas and the entire product lifecycle to improve access and value for patients. This group is also responsible for developing and executing an enterprise wide data strategy and roadmap that will drive across enterprise-wide data accessibility, adoption, utilization and deployment through supporting processes such as training and knowledge sharing to ensure that Pfizer can leverage and benefit from data assets and analytics programs.

We seek an experienced business leader that will manage Commercial Data Acquisition for the APAC countries. It also includes domestic responsibility for Japan, hence fluent Japanese language is required.

The role will partner with relevant business leaders to assess business needs, develop data strategies, create data acquisition plans and approaches for information delivery for all Commercial data in these geographies.

The role will also work to ensure relevant data sets are fit for analytic use across the commercial business and by Business Analytics colleagues.

You will be working across multiple teams and stakeholders at Global level as well as across the GRWD team and in very close collaboration with APAC Business analytics and commercial stakeholders

**Job description**

Reporting to the Global ex US Data Acquisition, Planning & Strategy Lead, APAC Global Data Acquisition Manager will be responsible for delivering all analytical and data related solutions to all APAC countries across the commercial business. It also includes domestic responsibility for Japan, hence fluent Japanese language is required .

+ Partner with Business Analytics & Insights leaders across all APAC countries to understand and establish data needs

+ Identify data innovation opportunities and create relevant implementation roadmaps for their application

+ Exhibit enterprise thinking at a global scale, innovate and elevate data acquisition and planning as a core practice area

+ Manage APAC Regional Commercial / Customer data spend and budgets allocation and tracking

+ Drive vendors negotiation / vendor management for APAC markets in close collaboration with Proc and countries

+ Ensure data governance frameworks and procedures are being adhered to

+ Select appropriate Digital offerings and BI tools for regional commercial data delivery

+ Provide expert guidance on how data can be used and the types of business questions to be addressed

+ Develop and manage Commercial / Customer data strategy for all APAC regions and Global data

+ Execute Commercial / Customer data acquisition plans for in-scope regions

+ Ensure data sources are fit-for-use for the Commercial business

+ Act as a subject matter expert in all Pfizer Commercial data purchases, at a regional, local and sub-national level

+ Collaborate with Business Analytics colleagues to ensure Commercial data assets are effectively leveraged within the commercial, as well as the clinical, businesses

+ Act as the primary point of contact for local Business Analytics colleagues to leverage CoE resources and coordinate delivery to region

+ Maintain relationships with Commercial / Customer data suppliers, including quality of deliverables and internal questions on data integrity and completeness

+ Demonstrate outstanding collaboration and operational excellence.

+ Working across multiple teams and stakeholders at Global level as well as across the GRWD team

+ In addition to APAC (region) role, domestic role & responsibility for Japan such as vendor management, Japan data budget management is included

+ For vendor communication/negotiation in Japan, **fluency of Japanese is required.**

**Professional Experience and Educational Requirements**

+ 5 to 10 years in data strategy, business analytics or similar analytical role

+ Bachelor's degree required; Master's level education preferred

+ Knowledge of relevant commercial data sets preferred, including:

+ APAC data sets (National Audits, Sub-national sales, Promotion and Rx); MIDAS, National Audits, sub-national data and more.

+ Experience with SQL, BI tools, data visualization software (Tableau) is a plus

+ Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and commercial data business drivers

+ Strong financial acumen, with a track record of responsibility for managing data budgets and spend

+ Exceptional vendor management skills, with a history of working with procurement and managing data contracts

+ Proven skills in working across diverse, cross-functional teams in solving data problems.

+ Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams into multicultural environment

+ Exceptional verbal, written communication and organizational skills, along with interpersonal skills that allow for collaboration across a diverse group of people

+ Fluent in English and Japanese
