Position Summary:

The Student Adviser is responsible for the recruitment and retention of students for the TeacherReady program. Through high quality, consistent interaction with candidates, instructors and other team members, the Student Adviser advocates for their cohort of candidates to ensure successful completion of the program. Success in this role is measured by successful progression of 90% of candidates to program completion and professional certification with a candidate satisfaction score of 4.0. Consistent practice of services excellence with all clients and colleagues is also required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

Participate in recruiting and retaining candidates throughout the enrollment and program completion process
Connect with admitted candidates within 10 days of enrollment to share program information, to gather information needed for placement in the field and answer any questions
Actively collaborate with schools districts, school leaders and others to ensure placement of enrolled candidates as quickly as possible
Maintain documentation of changes in policies and procedures of states, school districts and private schools for placement of TeacherReady candidates
Actively engage daily with candidates, mentors and TeacherReady team members to support appropriate progression for candidate success
Upload all documentation and communications for candidate field placement including mentor materials to the SIS data management system
Fulfill requests for letters of enrollment and transcripts for your cohort of candidates
Facilitate processing of requests for deferment with finance
Achieve candidate retention rate at 80%
Achieve a placement rate for candidates for field experience at 90% at Lesson 4
Achieve 70% on time payment for all candidates
Achieve 90% retention and progression of candidates in Lesson 1
Verity candidate completion Lessons 1-7 before enrollment in Lesson 8
Actively participate in Education meetings and TeacherReady team meetings
Be an expert in the rules, procedures and process for Florida Teacher Certification
Be a program expert
Assist with data gathering and verification for accreditation

Qualifications:

Minimum bachelors degree from accredited college or university
Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in an educational environment
Experience working with teams and individuals to accomplish specific goals
Highly proficient technical skills with the ability to use multiple applications in sync
Excellent management skills, demonstrated experience preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent verbal/written communications skills with proficiency in the English language
Able to handle multiple, competing priorities with a high degree of accuracy demonstrating resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and processes
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to identify solutions and achieve results
Personal qualities of integrity, creditability, confidentiality and commitment to organizational mission
