We are seeking to hire an asset-liability management (ALM) analyst to support compliance with the different regulations, guidance, and best practices specific to risk exposures at Optum Bank. This position will report to the Associate Director, Treasury.

The position will work with the Treasury Team and the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) to identify, evaluate and monitor interest rate and liquidity risk exposures through effective modeling and reporting. The successful candidate will utilize technical and analytical skills to assess data and other modeling needs and develop effective and innovative solutions. These solutions will assist in the continued development of asset-liability management modeling and reporting capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:a

    ""
  • Update, analyze and interpret data to produce reports for monthly ALCO meetings. Suggest ways to refine the process of gathering and analyzing information to achieve better efficiency and accuracy.
  • ""
  • Collect, compile, and transform data inputs for use in Interest Rate Risk modeling. Implement and maintain processes to ensure data integrity
  • ""
  • Proactively develop effective and innovative solutions to data management, reporting, and modeling needs
  • ""
  • Engage in ALCO meetings and record the meeting minutes.
  • ""
  • Support the development and maintenance of balance sheet and liquidity stress testing
  • ""
  • Work with Investment Management to provide detailed investment reporting and analysis for ALCO and risk management purposes
  • ""
  • Assist in the performance of model back-testing and sensitivity testing on key assumptions
  • ""
  • Assist in the maintenance of model change control logs, procedures, and model documentation
  • ""
  • Manage assigned projects and engage in ad-hoc analysis in response to ALCO or management information requests

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • ""
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel an VBA
  • ""
  • 2+ years database experience with querying, reporting, managing large data sets
  • ""
  • 2+ years financial analysis experience, preferably in a banking context
  • ""
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ""

  • General understanding of economics, financial markets, fixed income investments, and statistical concepts
  • ""
  • Ability to translate analytics and reporting into useful information for decision-making purposes
  • ""
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
  • ""
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects, with strong attention to detail and validation/documentation techniques
  • ""
  • Ability to work independently to drive results and improve processes
  • ""
