As an Advanced Graphic Designer, your coding knowledge and creative skill will be challenged to deliver progressive design for a variety of digital mediums contributing to sales goals and engagement efforts. Working alongside creative writers, subject matter experts as well as developers, the Advanced Graphic Designer will help ensure the right message is delivered at the right time in the most effective format. This position is essential for ensuring digital media assets are engaging, accessible and compliant.  In addition to having impact on a great team, you'll also discover the career opportunities you'd expect from an Industry Leader. 

 

Design and code attractive, user-friendly web pages, as well as other digital marketing collateral to engage potential customers and draw them to a call to action. The content designed is vital to the growth of UnitedHealthcare's individual line of business, web presence and sales.

 

In addition to possessing the required technical skills, the person right for this role is a team player who knows how to be flexible, works with deadlines, and can clearly communicate ideas and concepts. This person should be a self-motivated individual who is driven to deliver his or her best every day. It is also important that this person can put themselves in the shoes of our customer to ensure the experience they deliver through the web or other digital media makes it easy for the customer to connect and builds their confidence with the shopping process of purchasing their own health insurance.

 

This role acts as representative of the company and should reflect professionalism while being personable and positive.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and code engaging web pages using the content developed by Marketing Communication team members. This includes updating content and design of current web pages, as well as developing new web pages from scratch. 
  • Working with internal customers to deliver interactive website and digital designs to meet the needs of various target audiences.
  • Designing ad hoc marketing materials to support product/sales campaigns, including but not limited to PPC ads, emails, flyers, product brochures, and other duties as required
  • Regularly using coding languages including HTML, CSS and Bootstrap to code web page designs.
  • Using Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Dreamweaver to layout design, share design work and code websites and emails. 
  • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines.
  • Provides explanations and information to others on topics within area of expertise.
