TheSenior Actuarial Consultant -Health Pricing Solutionswill primarily work with internal StepWise software and consulting staff to deliver innovative healthcare financial models to our customers in web-based solution often leveraging rich analytics assembled via machine learning. Responsibilities including consulting with clients on requirements gathering, system design, configuration of risk based pricing models, and ensuring successful delivery. In addition to working on StepWise implementations, this role will involve advising clients on Underwriting, Actuarial, and financial projects, and supporting senior consultants as appropriate.

  • Expertise in rating systems is required; As a consultant, super user, or technical design / implementation subject matter expert

  • Hands-on professional experience creating and using Excel models and SQL-based systems to solve business problems / achieve clients' expectations

  • Understanding of industry issues, changes, and potential impacts and opportunities for the StepWise consulting team
  • ""
  • Able to understand our clients' business and place within the market, and act as a main point of contact both during a project and after implementation is complete

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline
  • ""
  • 5+ years Actuarial and/or Underwriting work experience in the healthcare industry on commercial and/or group business lines
  • ""
  • 5+ years with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, calculations, macros, etc.
  • ""
  • 5+ years of advanced level of proficiency with SQL, including SQL query writing and experience with data modeling
  • ""
  • 5+ years experience writing Macros
  • ""
