Job Description

Seeking a dynamic PRN Therapist to fulfill a 12-week vacancy.  

About Cumberland Hall Hospital:

Cumberland Hall Hospital, is a 97-bed Joint Commission accredited hospital, which provides the highest quality psychiatric care to children, adolescents and adults impacted by substance use and/or mental health issues.  The hospital is located near Fort Campbell in Hopkinsville, KY.  We have earned our place as a provider of choice with our local community.  Patient safety and confidentiality in treatment are top priorities.

The Clinician/Therapist is responsible for performing a variety of direct clinical duties with inpatient populations.  These include, but are not limited to, group, individual, and family treatment modalities.  They are responsible for performing thorough and accurate psychosocial evaluations, developing and implementing master treatment plans, and providing for appropriate discharge planning/aftercare referrals.  The Clinician/Therapist demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with both clients and staff.  They demonstrate the ability to prioritize the multiple demands of the position and are able to accurately follow instructions.  They understand the documentation requirements and complete these requirements in a timely fashion.  Excellent judgment and clinical skills are essential for this position.  Must possess knowledge of developmental stages of children, adolescents and adults, and the social, cultural, environmental influences on both patient and family member.  Is responsible for their own clinical growth through the attendance of in-services, presentations, and other continuing education activities.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  Masters or Doctoral degree in human relations or clinical field such as social work, psychology, or marriage and family counseling.  A license or certification in a specialized field is required and if an independent practice license/certification is not present, this individual must be clinically supervised by a person holding the appropriate credential and also must actively work towards their own licensure/certification.  At least two years working in a human service organization with inpatient or outpatient psychiatric or chemical dependency populations is strongly preferred, although not required.

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries
