Job Description

::Heartland Behavioral Health provides both acute hospitalization for ages 4-17 and specialty residential treatment for ages 12-17. Our dedicated clinical and behavioral health specialist staff fully embrace evidence-based therapeutic modalities, while keeping an utmost commitment to trauma informed care. We continuously focus on the mission of changing lives while providing an individualized experience for each child that enters our facility.

Directs the intake department to include scheduling, supervising and ensuring that budget admission goals are met.  Coordinates with the Director of Nursing as to the placement of patients within the facility.  Director reviews all intake assessments for clinical integrity and ensures that the clinical assessment is provided to the triage nurse for further assessment.  Ensures that all intake and access center policies are followed.  Reviews data to ensure that calls are recorded properly, with quality customer service.   Coordinates activities related to arranging admissions, working with families and communicating with referral sources.  Performs intake functions and completion of admission process.  Along with the Lead Intake Coordinator; trains and on-boards new intake staff as the processes of the ACCESS center.  Supports business development goals.

Sign on bonus of $3000.00.

Job Requirements


Admissions Director will be a  Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LCSW)  or Licensed Master Level Social Worker (LMSW)        

Prefer specific experience in the intake department, including management and training of employees.

Individual will have strong working knowledge of insurance verification, medical necessity requirements for both acute and residential treatment and benefit plans,   demonstrate an ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and other hospital specific programs, and  be detail orientated and have an experience in providing quality customer service.


-clinical supervision offered toward LCSW

-on-call weekend rotation with pay

-crisis assessment skills required

-experience in mental health field as an LMSW or LCSW

-CEU reimbursement toward LMSW or LCSW 

-trauma informed Care environment
