The Staff Engineer position on the Problem Management team in the Customer Office is part of the Technology Production Operations team. The incumbent will be responsible to coordinate the investigation to determine root cause of Incidents, identify workarounds, and follow up for permanent resolution. Near real time metric reporting is required as well as producing reports for the management team.

 

A close working relationship with Product Management, Development Leads, Architects, and QA Leads is essential. The goal is to identify trends to proactively prevent Incidents from happening and minimizing the impact of Incidents that cannot be prevented.

  • Minimum of 5 years IT Operations experience including ITSM and Production Support or related
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Problem Management
  • Experience with Java, SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), AWS Cloud a plus
  • Experience with Splunk a plus
  • Experience in metrics gathering and reporting
  • Experience documenting processes and SOPs
  • Strong business background and/or development experience with large complex business applications across all phases of an application development project
  • Must operate with an insatiable appetite for learning and sharing new trends in technology
  • The motivation to recognize and implement process improvements
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
  • Ability to prioritize work
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent relevant experience. MS/MBA a plus
  • ITIL Certification a plus
