Join the team of Holly Hill Hospital, a growing, private, psychiatric facility that has provided over 35 years' worth of service to the community. Based in Raleigh, NC, Holly Hill Hospital is perfectly located in a rapidly growing family-oriented community. We are passionate about excellent quality care in the treatment and recovery of adults and adolescents with psychiatric and/or chemical dependency illnesses.
The person we seek should be a self starter; detail oriented, organized, and should possess strong verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years accounting experience.

We have a need for a Full Time Staff Accountant to work the following schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am.- 4:30pm.

Responsibilities/Duties: 

• Accounts payable.
• Preparing journal entries and reconciliations as part of month-end close procedures.
• Assist with various financial analysis and reports.
• Filing monthly sales tax remittances, yearly escheat accounts and yearly 1099 filings.
• Responsible for hospital purchasing needs 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training: 

Associate Degree in Accounting or related field or a combination of education and experience.  Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

 

Experience:

2 years experience in accounting.

 

Licensure/Certification:

  • None required

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Be able to assist and support Accounting Coordinator and Materials/Data Entry Clerk with materials management, data entry, payroll and accounts payable needs.

  • Knowledge of accounting procedures to assist in preparing journal entries and reconciliations as part of month-end procedures.

  • Ability to prepare operating and capital budgets.

  • Knowledge of various financial reports and analysis.

  • Working knowledge of HMS and Hyperion.

  • Ability to prepare and maintain Capital Expenditure Requests and fixed asset logs.

  • Ability to prepare and maintain standing PO’s and related tracking logs.

  • Skill in filing monthly sales tax remittances, yearly Escheat accounts and yearly 1099 filings.

  • Ability to purchase materials for hospital needs.

  • Knowledge of PSI Policies and Procedures to oversee inventory needs.

  • Be able to provide hospital depository needs.

  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures in accounting
