    The Retail Culinary Chef is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of all retail food services, as well as the management of a consistent high quality food service. 

    • Ensure all Aramark and franchise culinary standards and procedures are strictly adhered to.
    • Implement and plan menus for the retail location.
    • manage catering operations
    • Assist the Component Manager with cost control and reducing wastage.
    • Involved in training of culinary staff
    • Ensure all staff are abiding by the food service standards and quality requirements.
    • Involved in ordering and inventory for the various locations.
    • Hands on food preparation and serving when needed.
    • Weekly financial reporting and P&L accountability.
    • Assist the implementation of marketing promotions and marketing planning.
    • Ensure operation’s level of profitability and client satisfaction.
    • Ensure that requirements for appropriate food handling, preparation and sanitation in respective areas are met.
    • Adhere to the Aramark policies and procedures, as well as the Health and Safety standards.
    • Perform other duties assigned by your Manager.


    • At least 4 years experience in a fast paced food service operation.
    • Previous experience managing in a unionized environment
    • Qualified Chef papers or diploma required.
    • Experience in menu costing, menu planning and food preparation.
    • Assertive, professional and positive, with an ability to lead in a stressful environment.
    • Experience with food and labor costing.
    • Proven ability to multi task.
