The Canyon at Peace Park is seeking a dynamic and talented Nursing Certified Residential Counselor (RCNC).


The Canyon at Peace Park is a private, secluded retreat in the beautiful hills of Malibu, California. Our treatment philosophy is simple: specialized, cutting-edge care, recovery plans tailored to the individual, a supreme healing environment, and a program that addresses both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. In a compassionate, fine-tuned approach, we treat the whole person.




The Nursing Certified Residential Counselor (RCNC) is responsible for assessing patient needs, monitoring medications, administering and tracking TB skin tests, and monitoring random drug screens.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Completing assessment of new patients immediately upon admission according to level of care procedures.
  • Monitoring self-medication process for individuals living in residential facilities
  • Provides on-going consumer education (group and individual) regarding medications.
  • Implements and monitor procedures for random urine drug screens to ensure that each individual is screened as appropriate.  In addition, completes process to ensure results are documented in medical file and with the individual’s clinician.
  • Provides on-going staff training regarding medication policies and procedures.
  • Performs responsibilities according to clinical and timeliness guidelines, and assimilates and applies performance feedback as directed by management personnel.
Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Current California LVN or RN license in good standing required.
  • Minimum one (1) years clinical experience in a healthcare setting required
  • Two years’ experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders preferred.
