The Prudential El Paso office is seeking a Quality Assurance Associate to support the El Paso (GBTS - Global Business & Technology Solutions) Center. The ideal candidate will have strong working IT support experience & excellent communication (both written and verbal). Responsible for testing multiple projects and for a using various technologies in Client Server / Mainframe. This will be a demanding role and the successful candidate will possess the ability to work on their own initiative showing creativity and a strong drive to get the results required. For results

Typical responsibilities include:
  • The selected candidate prepares and conducts QA reviews and develops test plans and test scripts
  • Provides support to client and IT technical staff in resolving QA process or procedure questions and required documentation
  • Participates in the review of QA procedures and processes and the development of QA metrics for assessing the quality delivered application software or systems
  • Participates in design and implementation of QA software and systems and the development of effective testing plans through consultation with clients and IT technical staff
  • Participates in the development of special testing requirements and procedures and in the review of new or modified QA software
  • May implement modifications to QA software
  • Requires at least two, but typically five or more years of experience in systems analysis, programming and QA
  • Understands standard operating procedures and processes and can apply them as solutions to common problems
  • May receive instruction, guidance and direction from others



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering or related technical experience
  • Proven experience on a technology project or initiative in a college or business environment
  • Excellent people, interpersonal, speaking, and writing skills are a must
  • Self-starter with ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Able to work effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team
  • Ability to work within a team or independently
  • Takes ownership of tasks and sees them though to conclusion escalating where appropriate
  • Demonstrates an analytical mindset with a detail oriented focus
  • Willingness to take initiative and intelligent risks
  • Bilingual – Proficient in speaking/writing Spanish
Technical Requirements:
  • Experience with or proven ability to learn various technologies (e.g., UNIX, Client/Server Apps, Web based, ETL) preferred
  • Experience with: (Java, Java Script, C#, SQL, Oracle, Access)
  • Experience with Test Automation Technology (e.g., UFT, SOAP UI, Python) a plus
  • Experience with Quality Assurance tools a plus (ALM, Power BI, TDM)
  • Agile methodology experience a plus
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
