What You'll Do

You will be responsible for the architectural design, development, and deployment of the Data Center Operating System. Defines system solutions based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery. Establishes, implements, and documents the technology integration or migration strategies. The position requires staying on top of the industry trend and new technologies for the system architecture.

Responsibilities include Architect, Design and Develop next generation software systems, Review design specifications, Present ideas and designs to architect team and executive leadership, Engage with product marketing teams and customers. Create high-quality, sophisticated software products enabling our customers to have the best possible experience,  Mentoring engineers, Help refine processes and tools, Hands-on with coding and execution/delivery responsibilities.

Who You'll Work With

Data Center Networking Group is developing the Nexus 9000 line of data center and cloud switches that feature application awareness to make the network infrastructure flexible and agile for dynamic response to application needs and virtual machine workload mobility. Insieme also developed a 40G Ethernet transceiver designed to drastically lower the price of 40G optics to better compete with other competitor switches. The future of networking with ACI is about providing a network that is deployed, monitored, and managed in a fashion that supports DevOps and rapid application change. ACI does so through the reduction of complexity and a common policy framework that can automate provisioning and managing of resources.

Who You Are

You will have 8+ Years of experience in building scalable software systems, Strong Domain knowledge about contemporary Network Technologies, Network Management and protocols, Strong Unix/Linux Fundamentals (scheduling / multi-threading / IPC) and experience building applications, Strong experience in Designing, Distributed systems, Good understanding of Abstraction frameworks, Solid grasp of computer science/software engineering concepts, including: Common data structures/ Standard algorithms, Object-oriented design, Distributed computing and Cloud computing paradigms. Strong coding skills, Expertise with design/delivery of Operating Systems and virtualization capabilities, Ability to work with multiple, programming languages

Experience on application/platform instrumentation, measurement, log data processing, and monitoring Agile Development experience, Track record of technical leadership in delivering complex systems
