The Cisco Partner Consulting & Innovation (PC&I) team is dedicated to accelerating our partners’ ability to increase profitability, improve efficiencies and mitigate risk via specialized engagement and benchmarking. With over 10 years of experience and 500+ partner engagements, the PC&I team has established a consistent track record and award-winning insights that enable us to benchmark partner performance across all functional areas to drive important change.

This position will focus on the following:

  • Strategic planning and alignment with partners and Cisco account teams
  • Targeted Business consulting engagements with select partners

Who You'll Work With

The PC&I Associate role is a sales and subject matter expert focused on business intelligence, operations and sales strategies. This position is aligned to specific partners / segments when focused strategic expertise is deemed necessary to assist in transforming partner capabilities or providing assistance with business direction, strategic planning, sales strategy, etc.

As a PC&I Associate, you will deliver innovative business consulting solutions to key partners in the Americas. You will be involved in business process review, and targeted consulting discussions with a select group of Cisco channel / Ecosystem partners. This role will be primarily focused on partners in the Americas and will require 25-40% travel.

Who You Are

This position requires strong IT Industry and business acumen. You will become an integral member of the Partner Consulting & Innovation (PC&I) Team at Cisco.

You will acquire a solid knowledge of the PC&I engagement process and our partner’s channel business through a combination of training, shadowing and mentoring. You will use your knowledge and your experience to help support targeted partner consulting engagements and provide valuable insight and guidance to our partners.

The role of the PC&I Associate will be focused primarily in these areas:

  • Deliver targeted Differentiated Strengths workshop with partners – Help partners recognize their strengths and create differentiated messaging to their customers, employees and Cisco.
  • Deliver Partner Navigation Tool (PNT) analysis to select partners – Analyze and present financial and key performance metrics benchmarking analysis to partner executives.
  • Recommend process improvements and simplification.
  • Contribute to the development of new, targeted deliverables supporting the PC&I portfolio of capabilities and accumulated partner knowledge.
  • Investigate and perform market trend analyses.
  • Support internal enablement and training initiatives to enhance the executive relevance of our Cisco partner account teams. Conduct financial acumen and business consulting training with our account teams.
  • Enable the Cisco partner account teams to deliver targeted consulting capabilities to partners as a natural progression of their role.

Required Competencies:

  • Strong computer / technical skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Financial acumen and business insight
  • Basic understanding of sales and marketing processes and tools.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent executive level communication and presentation skills Self-starter, motivated and curious learner.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Effective at communicating clearly to both technical and business audiences.
  • Willingness to enhance your career and work with a creative team at Cisco.
  • Demonstrable ability to combine technology and business concepts and effectively communicate to an executive audience.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum. Masters preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a management consulting environment or equivalent setting with executive level clientele

Desired Experience:

  • Keen understanding of partners business models, profitability and financials.
  • Ability to assemble multiple, complex business models into a concerted strategy.
  • Demonstrated track record of accountability.
  • Marketing and/or sales experience
  • Understanding of the channel business and technology field
